>>95425114>>95425140>>95425244>>95425434Though the show doesn't show it, stasis is dangerous as fuck.
In Islands of Wakfu, not only is it volatile, so much so that it explodes on touch, but the worst of it seems to be its property to propagate itself, due to being made of the same stuff as wakfu. In fact, it is wakfu, just crystallized.
More specifically, it seems to turn any wakfu it comes into contact with into more stasis, and then, slowly over time, it turns back into wakfu.
So slowly though, that a large amount can cause a catastrophic positive feedback loop.
In IoW, when Orgonax crashed down on the planet, he basically fell as a big ass meteorite of stasis. Once he hit the ground, the stasis started to infect all wakfu in the vicinity, spreading wider and wider as the game progressed, majorly altering the flora and turning the fauna either mad, or outright killed some.
At the end of IoW, Nora acts as a human bomb to btfo Orgonax, but it might've also served to put stasis "back in motion" as wakfu and to stop the infection.
Granted, the explosion likely destroyed everything on the surface of the planet in the process, but basically stopped WoT from becoming a stasis based planet.
A good analogy on how stasis might work in the real life seems to be Ice-Nine from "Cat's Cradle", or more colloquially, SCP-009 or Tiberium.
It's pretty scary stuff.
