>>95325315Not gonna lie Anon, it will be though, more than though it will be horrible for you because you love him.
There will be a lot of changes to accommodate to his condition, your immediate family will have to change their lifestyle and even take turns in taking care of him, there will be points where him won't remember why he started doing something or wander off trying to finish an activity that was just done, but that's just the start.
It will get worse and he might even become a danger to himself and other while having less and less lucid moments, eventually he will start failing to recognize relatives or even think people that are gone are still alive or their kids and grandsons are still young while unable to recognize that you are the person he is talking about.
And that's the point that breaks most people, you will have to stay strong because they might even try to defend themselves in the confusion of their situation or become agitated to a point forgetting medication leads to a stroke if they have cardiac issues.
It won't get better, eventually they will become unable to move much or talk properly, and this marks the point of utter dependence to those that stayed strong to all of the above, he might feel like a shell but he is still that person and honestly I hope you still care for him in this stage, it's awful but that's all you and your family can do.
Anon, try to stay strong. He will need all the love he can get.
