>>94936278Well, he knows he is set. He already has made more than enough money, so, at this point, it is more for the fame. All the other Doctor Robotnik VAs have died, and Mike has already been voicing him for over a decade now, so if they try to replace him with a random new guy, even the people that hate him would probably hate the change more and riot. Also, Sega gave Aaron webber far more power and control of the company's image once he agreed to come back after they previously fired him, and one of the things Aaron requested is that the VAs get to be more open and social and do fan-related projects if they wanted to. A few of them took advantage of that new freedom, especially Mike. As far as Sonic's image and the overall vibe of the company, well, just take a look at the Sonic the Hedgehog social media accounts, especially their Twitter. Hell, Aaron ended up starting a whole new idea of what a company's social media should be when he got the position of Social Media chief, to the point where even Nintendo and Arby's are going in with more comedy / meta humor and actual callbacks to "cult-class" franchises.
Mike has it down on lock and he could literally say something terrible in the next ten minutes about the show and people would just think it was playing into that "self-aware" and "ironic" image that the show and its teenage audience eat up. I mean, YouTubers can get away with saying stupid shit all the time and acting like total cunts, then just turn around and say, "fair-use", "irony", "satire", "parody", or "I was pranking / trolling you" and people do not bat an eye, so now that Sonic Boom has fallen into that weird format, anything someone from the show would do would not be taken seriously. The man, for now, is untouchable.
