What does DC have against Carol, exactly? At this point, it's just sad that she's constantly being passed around like a piece of meat, not being allowed any agency or even a life outside of which idiot the writer wants her to fuck.

Did everyone just forget that she's supposed to be a somewhat ruthless businesswoman who builds aircraft for a living? Hell, did everyone forget that she's a classical Green Lantern villain?

I figure that either, nobody involved with Green Lantern is interested in her, yet keep her around for whatever reason instead of just having her fuck off back home, or they're all too stupid to put two and two together and have her use her access to alien technology to corner the untapped commercial spacecraft market on Earth.

Poor Carol, she's been treated worse than Wonder Woman over the years, and that's saying something.
