I noticed the patterns of team member roles since I was a little kid, and at the age of nine, I started trying to make a cartoon thing. One of the characters I created was 'supposed' to be based on my sister, but really she's just based on "The Heart". I named the character "Lovable", and gave her the power of "Love", always being happy and never being sad or mad.
For the longest time, I was wondering what exactly to do with her, since I didn't really understand how to make her powers effective in battle and stuff, and her lack of negative emotions kind of makes her a flat character.
Now though, she's extremely powerful, partially because of the idea that "God = Love", and I used her lack of negative emotions to actually make her character more interesting. She is literally unable to even comprehend negative emotions, so when people around her are sad or angry or scared, all she can do is offer optimistic hopeful words with no actual understanding of what they are feeling and why. She's supposed to have powers of empathy, but she can't really empathize with feelings of sadness, or hatred or fear. So there's like a bit of a disconnect hidden underneath everyone's love and care for her as an optimistic emotional center.
Just... thought I'd put that out there. Taking the idea of "The Heart" and building a character around the literal and general idea of the trope, and... stuff.
