He ACTS like he's celebrating, but in reality all his plan was for him to get royalties out of his characters because he really thinks people will be crawling back for them.
That's why he tried to rile up other authors of the comic to ask for their characters after the reboot. And its why he is now claiming the same with some Star Trek comics against IDW.
His intention is always to be rewarded for the work he did in the past, not actually create new stuff. Its why he whines about royalties but says "Oh i could totally get the job at IDW, but I won't try because I don't need to." He doesn't want to write or draw /anything/, he wants to get quick money out of stuff he did before.
Maybe at some point he may have wanted to do new stuff, him believing people were clamouring so much for the enchilada crew that he'd basically get paid by fan support alone (Wouldn't be surprised if his plan was to sap said fans into paying for his work)
Of course that blew up in his face and its why everything Lara-su is all talk and no progress now. He has no desire in working on it because he wants money now and he is not getting it; "Why bother working on my amazing work that I know will be a hit, if I'm not getting paid to do so? After all i don't need to prove my stuff is good, I just need the money because you can trust me it is good."
This is why whenever he claims he is doing this out of artistic integrity, it riles me up. He is not doing it because of that, he just wants a paycheck he doesn't want to work for.
It's why he is poking at IDW for star trek stuff that were mostly DC-controlled, cause he thinks IDW is the easier target 8which still isn't). it's why he keeps poking at Sonic more than his other stuff, because he knows Archie's incompetence got him at least known; If he had tried this for all the other stuff he claims to have worked for he'd probably have gotten his ass handed to him worse than SEGA/EA did it him for Chronicles.
