And almost all of them get it at the climax.
So you don't have a relationship at all, the more interesting parts of it are dimmed out (because they have no idea how to write them).
Meanwhile the few that are actually elaborated on are so repetitive and unrealistic at that, like they stop being human beings when they are in proximity to each other, the inability to be causal with each other.
And last but not least, it is everywhere. Fucking everywhere, no matter if you watch comedy, science fiction, fantasy, action, adventure. They always have romance in them. It is so omnipresent, I wonder why they didn't make a religion out of it.
In short: Romance is oversaturated and always bland as fuck.
