>>94412657Well, I understand that. The point is that if you're willing to, you know, take the time and the risk to stand up, then you're not going to get anything, and the status quote
I'm just wondering why other minorities show up late to the game, (when the implication of fighting for minority representation is that it will benefit all minorities, and reaching out at this point might help), and then....immediately turn on black people..
>"The Blacks have had their say for TOO LONG! Selfish fucks! What about US!?"....and then after that, they go back to doing nothing, only having helped drag black people several steps, " they're already over-represented" and more complaints about how blacks ask for more than they're worth and so on.
I don't know guys. Nobody would probably wouldn't have DARED considering making Birth of the Dragon, if you guys would...fucking stand up every now and then, not when it's already too late in the day, and they're doing it anyway..
For those who don't know, the movie is about some white guy who dates an asian lady, and there's a fight with Bruce Lee at the end.. You know, the fucking typical shit, minor role asian guys, hot asian lady as the prize!.
I mean, Jesus Christ. Are we really at a point where not even Bruce Lee, one of the greatest Asian icons in American CAN'T GET A FUCKING MOVIE ABOUT HIMSELF? Yeah. We are.
(As a side note, as much as I love Big Trouble in Little China, Dennis Dun (the actual protagonist of the story/the character that actually takes more of an active role) ISN'T on any of the covers/posters of the movie! I mean, I guess you can let that slide because they were being subversive with the roles, but still.)
I mean, I find that kind of crap as disappointing as the next guy...but it'd really help out if you guys would take some action instead of expecting black people to do it for you while you sit on your hands, and act surprised when you don't get first in line
