>>94393941You know the whole spiel about how if /pol/ is taken away they'd invade other boards and cause trouble until it's back? That bullshit excuse to keep them "contained" that they pulled out every time someone told them to fuck off?
It's fucking bull.
Here's what would happen: for 2 weeks most likely, 2 months as absolute worst, they will shit up the site to the point of it being useless. Then it will die down. They won't agree of figure out the best place to regroup, and the mods will be against them, so it won't actually work. They'll make grandstanding post speeches about freedom of speech and being silenced and oppression and "dumb libtards redditers" and they'll mostly fuck off to different sites but it won't work out for them in the long run and the crossposters will stick around or not, but won't cause as much trouble without the validation from the sub in another tab. The refugee camps will die or become festering ever shrinking echo chambers.
I know this because the same types of idiots have made those same threats on other sites and had this exact reaction. Reddit had trouble from /pol/ when they shut down a lot of racist based subs and one for fat people hate. The drama died down in a week.
I think I can go a few months without 4chan just to cut them out.
