To start with, I think the emoji world should be connected to ALL phones and computers, not just one kid's, that way it would be more impacting that the meh emoji makes a mistake.
Also instead of the meh, the movie should've focused on the happy emoji since it is more used, and sort of the main emoji that everyone recognizes.
Maybe they could have added some clever jokes about how the emojis look differently on different devices and operating systems.
Poop emoji should just be limited to one joke and one appearance.
Take away the idea of emoji's having families. In Wreck it Ralph and Inside out we didn't need mommy and daddy versions of the same characters, we know they are just programs/emotions.
