>>94306790>I'm curious. How do you feel about the concept of gender?
The distinction between "gender" and "sex" always felt foreign to me, for there is no such distinction in my tongue.
If you ask me if I believe that gender roles exist, of course I do, and part of those roles, is obviously cultural and thus "an artificial construct" if we copy postmodernist terms.
That however does not mean that there is no value or validity in those constructs and I do believe that it makes for healthier and more unified and stable societies, if people do not stray too far from the fundamental dual roles of men and women that our societies are largely built upon. Those roles being the mother and the father. I view the Family as the foundation building-block, the atom of civilization, and anything that disrupts the Family unit, is harmful. To be clear, I consider the extended family to be also an essential aspect of the Family, not just the nuclear family, which was a product of the post industrial revolution world.
Our species evolved to live in units composed of numerous families who were blood related, and I believe, that that societal system, is essential for upkeep of as table society. Modern world has almost completely destroyed that system, and it is a tremendous problem that nobody addresses.
As for true equality between men and women, no, I do not believe in it, because men and women obviously differ in their capabilities and qualities. That does not mean that one is better than the other as a whole. Men and women need each other, to form stable Families. They complement each other in their roles.
As for switching gender roles, I am skeptical of such behavior. The stuff you describe reeks to me, of a disturbed individual, who should seek aid, instead of indulging in his deviancy.
