Have that Astonishing xmen cover. That is kinda rememberable because #1 of a sleeper hit series.

And i counted >>93400663 because it was symbiote spiderman debut issue in regular series.

Dont know if Hulk is a stand in cover for world war hulk.

The other covers might have important plots, but they dont are iconic for that story.

She's very clearly supposed to be aged up. It's probably the best of these dumb variants because Randolph's a great artist. I'd say I hope he gets another shot now that Mosaic's done/failed but IIRC he does a lot of advertising/cartoon work so he probably doesn't need it.

You're misrembering things. Hawkeye died in Disassembled (the infamous "not like this" page where he kamikazes a Kree ship because his quiver caught fire). Then during House of M Marvel said that the upcoming issue (#3 or 4?) would "break the internet in half".

That big moment was... Hawkeye showing up only a year or so after his death. He then kind of fucked off for a little while until coming back under he Ronin identity after Civil War.

The run. It was top of the recommend comics lists consistently and was lapped up by everyone. It came at just the right time as there was more casual interest in comics and fans wanted less events and more standalone character driven series, and it was able to please both. Though by now both have moved onto other books.

The difference being food is a necessity and McDonalds has succeeded by flooding low-income areas with perfectly placed buildings in order to essentially become the major food provider in the area.

If McDonalds closed those people would NEED to search for different food. If Marvel shit the bed their readers could go game, watch porn and maybe read other comics.

The way it stands Marvel being cool with normies could possibly keep some kids buying books to a point in which they do it out of habit, like many of us who buy floppies currently. Marvel flopping would fizzle that excitement and interest and the number of kids that choose to keep up with the comics up to the point its their money instead of their parents money being spent would be drastically lower.

Right now I'm at the point many of my friends have young children and MANY of them love the avengers and of course the trinity. Almost all of them have a favorite super-hero, something their parents, my friends, know very little about outside of the movies. It's pretty cool seeing a generation of kids that love it. But that, as much as it pains me to say, is still based off of their normie parents knowing that Marvel exists and that they can buy their kid that shit.

He made Longshot a naive purity stuff who all the Xwomen wanted to fuck and while the first two Mojo storied he wrote were good and played up the Lovecraftian horror of Mojo, he quickly turned Mojo into a joke villain to take out his frustrations at how Bob Harras kept fucking up his storylines

The only Long shot character CC did good by was Spiral, who he turned from a generic background hernchman to an all powerful supervillainess who not even Claremont's waifu Kitty could stop and single handedly made the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants able to go toe to toe and beat the Xmen

Look, I can live with no X-men. That's not even an issue for me. The problem is that even discounting the whole X-men thing, the roster fucking sucks. The nice thing about no X-men is that it means that less known characters have a better chance of getting in where their spots would otherwise not be available.

But all the spots are taken up by MCU characters only outside of Nova, whose just a returning character. On the Marvel side, there's not a single "didn't see that coming" character. Venom will probably be DLC which is extra bullshit, and they didn't even use this oppurtunity to add characters like Ms. Marvel or Songbird who at least would have been interesting characters.

And even THEN I could forgive the Marvel side if the Capcom side was good but that's EQUALLY uninspired. The only cool addition is Jedah who hasn't even been confirmed yet, and Sigma who is fucking DLC despite being of the game's main villains. Where's Captain Commando? Where's Asura? Yay, we get "Monster Hunter" and a gimped version of the MvC3 roster.

And even all of that I could maybe let go if the gameplay was tight and the story mode was good enough to justify them hyping it up, but if the story demo is anything to go by, both of those things suck too.

I dunno. Maybe I'm just biased, but all of this seems worse than the original.
Like, compare these to those New Super-Man of China variants. Those actually feel like clever homages to the original covers we all know and love. This just looks like they're swapping characters and modernizing the art, with both changes paling in comparison to the original.

It actually did much better than I thought. I looked at the May 2017 numbers, and they must have published the issues twice because it has #1 at 17,037, then #2 at 15,324 and 8,034.
The #2 at 15K is priced at $3.99, and the other two are at $4.99, so they might be event reprints

Marvel Studios is no longer part of Marvel Entertainment. They don't make any money off of it.

That said, they do make money off of the merchandising, and merchandising is where 90% of their money was coming from in the first place so it hardly matters if the comics do poorly. They've probably made more money off of Spider-gwen funko pops and t-shirts than they have from all issues of Spider-gwen combined.

He might not be in the issue. The issue before this one has Moon-Girl and Devil Dinosaur time-traveling to the valley of flame and meeting up with Moon-Boy. The solicits implied that Devil might be staying behnid with Moon-Boy. I'd wager it's probably just for one arc or even just one issue though since the book didn't get retitled.

Smith's 1st Ghost Rider arc was pretty good, then both the loss of Tradd and Marvel Editorial forcing that Circle of Four team up on him ruined it.

For a comic book to last, it has to be really extraordinary. It's not enough to care about continuity, or to pander to fanbase, otherwise Ewing would be a smashing hit writer. Nova might be good for you, but for me, it was a wasted potential of what could have been.

None of the writers at marvel seem to know how to hook up the reader and make him beg for moar

Dudes back in the day came from an Advertising and design background. It's why even print ads were better back in the day. The shit was beautiful, chock full of iconography and style. And sometimes covers lied because of it lol. But they looked iconic.

now it's just a picture of a recycled pose or an "homage" with everything stock and generic looking.

Walking Dead has been shit for near on 100 issues now and Saga isn't nearly as good as many of Image's worse selling books. Most of DC's best books are also their lowest selling. Do you seriously prefer Hitch's Justice League and Snyder's Batman to Flintstones and Doom Patrol? That you think Walking Dead is better than God Country? That Marvel Comics as a whole are better than Valiant as a whole?

I realise you probably come from a hobby where sales is some kinda be-all end-all, but when it comes to comics, it's more often the case that there's an inverse relationship between sales and quality.

Word of mouth that didn't do shit to help with sales? They announced that it was being cancelled at 7, then Didio got blasted to hell and back on twitter and comic blogs because he promised it'd have 12 issues then they went back on that promise and cancelled it at 7 citing the exact quote of his where he made that promise, then Didio had to back-track and make a public statement saying "Yes, I promised that it would get 12 issues, and we're not going back on that promise." and uncancelled it after the fact, but from that point on, sales continued to suffer. At no point did it increase in sales and any sales it did end up getting after the fact in the trade market had less to do with good word of mouth and everything to do with the fact that King was announced to be the new writer for Batman so people started going back and reading other King books.
