>>93242933>The entire episode is an excuse to have Marshall and Fionna interactThat's what cartoons are, everything within them is ultimately inconsequential. The world could be destroyed completely and it wouldnt matter.
The plot of all episodes only exist to facilitate interactions between characters to amuse the viewer in one way or another.
>carries the episode is the novelty that they are genderbent versions of Marceline and Finn. This episode would work with the cast as their normal genders, (The beginning scene would have to be a bit different, you'd need a different excuse for what is essentially a dream sequence)
In fact, the graybles episodes are much the same way, mini stories that don't actually matter but are entertaining in their own right.
>The overt flirtations between Fionna and MarshallThis happens between a lot of characters in the show.
>Marshall being a stereotypical bad boy sweeping Fionna awayIs this even a real complaint? Is this something that in anyway negatively impacts the quality of the episode?
>The dramatic "confession" at the end.Which part? The Joke from Marshal or completely in character response from Fionna
>Ah, yeah, it is. In what way was the main story of this episode a parody of fanfiction. Saying "yes it is", is not an argument, you're arguing a positive, the burden of proof is on you.
>Ehh, that was a weak way to start the episode honestly>The comedy cartoon starting with a good joke is weakWew lad
>It's just a way to segue into Marceline telling the main storyYes, scenes tend to lead to other scenes.
