And you know what the kicker is? When Dini made the move to proper comic book writing he was great at that, too. His run on Detective Comics was really good. I don't know why DC doesn't have him on a book right now, unless of course he's taking a break.

what's weird is she took her jacket off to spar. If her jacket inhibits her fighting ability, and the character acknowledges this, why wear it as part of the crimefighting costume?

The 90s-00s DCAU made me actually appreciate and enjoy the DC universe. Too bad they (DC in general) haven't been quite as able to reproduce that success consistently since.

Well YJ did alright I'll say, I think it's for the best if nothing ever replicates the DCAU.

It wasn't perfect and didn't honor all characters it used but it's just damn fucking good.

I actually like the episode more for the great fight scenes and don't give a shit about the "erotic" section of it. I get way more of a boner from Joaquim Dos Santos' fight choreography.

I'm worried about a cartoon Constantine, but I also don't want to get attached to a new DC cartoon that's just going to get cancelled after 2 seasons. If this is even getting a second season.

Kid-friendly Constantine is done in a tongue and cheek way so I don't mind it. Lots of people who worked on the old Justice League cartoon are working on it. Lots of great obscure characters and fun references to old comics and shows.
