Every last pigfuck with that opinion should be shot on sight. You may like any fucking character you want, and there wouldn't be anything inherently bad about it. What should be avoided is liking them for the wrong reasons (AKA: misunderstanding the character, just enjoying the superficial, going with the general trend, etc.).
After having read over 50 years worth of his stories, anyone saying I can't like Spider-Man because "it's too vulgar of a character" can go fuck off.
