>>91856855The reason is quite simple.
These sort of people, who become gay/trans/binary/genderliquid/wateverthefuck do it because they had not received much attention during their younger years (childhood).
This is a bigger case now since it's the Millennial generation that is like 20-30% homosexual, due to the fact that their parents, Gen X, are the ones always working, having spared little time for their Gen-Millennial children, so to speak validation or attention, they begin to seek love wherever they can find it, cue homosexuality. Also, not to mention Generation-Millennial are the biggest one to face single-parent raising, with most cases being no father, so a good bit of the millennial males never properly developed the grasp of masculinity.
This comic represents that sub-conscious issue with this character and what I'm assuming is the artist. This issue is that, especially with more "well to do" families, there was no real struggles for the child, so when they grew up with receiving little attention (remember: little parent interaction, but comfy childhood), they now seek a "struggle" or hardship to feel empowered about, when there is none. Hence this grasping for straws to find any "real" hardship/struggle with not being accepted by close ones.
tl;dr it's a privileged whiny little faggot trying to find something to cry about
