What if the Scotsman is attacking Aku because his wife passed on and he believes Aku eventually killed Jack too? He hasn't seen Jack in a long while, and Aku continuing on with his reign for 50 years would probably have the Scotsman believe that Aku got his buddy.

It's possible, yeah. But, man. That new preview showed just how horrifying Aku really is. He can literally crush hundreds/thousands of people with little to no effort and no one can actually hurt him. Except Jack with his sword of course.

You didn't pay attention to this season's episodes so far. Jack still has a bounty out for him with random scientists and robots trying to collect on it. The Scotsman would therefore know he's still alive.
