I like this episode as well, however, it did dislike the "humourous" subplot with Eugene. It made him seems retarded and the humor got old and quick. He's better than that. Other than that, it was fun episode. I can even let go of oddity of rapunzel easily entering without king's notice.

I totally thought they were going to have Cassandra abandon the ring to get the frying pan for Rapunzel to defeat Wreck

As it was, Cass hiding the pan in the first place didn't have any real bearing, which I found strange since they took a moment to emphasize it

I can understand the frustration though, having that character who effortlessly waltzes through challenges despite having very little practice or experience in those things can get annoying

All them hairy ass wimmin legs though

I think the first batch of episodes so far are mainly focused on showing the character dynamics, except for the Varian one which helps set up the big plot.

We got the Eugene + Cass episode, this is a Rapunzel + Cass episode, etc etc

But yeah I hope we get more plot stuff too, sooner rather than later.

I don't know. We had italy mentioned as a place last episode, and then a bunch of other places as well. We can't even say for sure whether Disney is actually putting Frozen and Tangled in the same universe but that would add even more

We've already seen that her magic hair is different now. it no longer heals, it's apparently invulnerable, and it can move on its own.

We know her hair is way superhumanly strong, from when it formed the shield and then shrugged off those tons of rubble.

They are making Rapunzel into Medusa.

Interesting to see that despite her loyalty to Rapunzel, Cassandra having a lot to prove can sometimes get in the way of their friendship. Seems like they're having a bit of a contrast between her tough-as-nails demeanor and some insecurities she has about not being taken seriously.

Also Rapunzel is a better shot with a GUITAR than most people are with bows and can defeat a gauntlet of hammers and several of the bravest warriors in Corona with nothing but some dance moves with her eyes closed.

Maybe it's a good thing she doesn't have a mean bone in her body and just wants to be everyone's friend.

Cassandra's complaint that Rapunzel should've figured out how important this was is true.

But she also ckearly recognized Rapunzel honestly didn't know, which is when she should have told her.

Instead she lied, got super bitchy, cheated... And then was rewarded with the trophy.

What the fuck? I don't hate Cassandra as a character, but this episode didn't punish the wicked properly.

Wow this show keeps surprising me. Fuck it's good.

What I disliked about this episode is the part where Rapunzel comes to see Cass and the other competitors. Raps made me cringe and her obliviousness to the participants' laughter was kinda dumb.
Also why the hell did they bother making that one chick's legs hairy?

So, remind me what Rapunzel is getting out of her friendship with Cassandra? Because at this point the biggest interactions Cassandra has had with Rapunzel first involved the princess keeping a secret from her boyfriend for a selfish reason (I might get in trouble!) and the next big episode to focus on the two of them involved Cassandra being, for lack of a better word, a massive bitch.

Hell Eugene and Cassandra have a relationship that's easier to watch because the two of them know the score - they don't like each other and they'll spend all day taking pot shots but will serious the fuck up if anything actually happens. We're supposed to buy Cassandra being Rapunzel's best friend (female) as a good, healthy relationship and I'm not seeing that so far.

Because 'Cass and Eugene have to work together to beat the Stabbingtons' sounds awesome but not lore or plot heavy, and the synopsis for the Strongbow episode sounds more like a Eugene backstory thing.

Personally I tried it and didn't get any pop ups at all which seems a good sign
