>>91184549back in the day 4chan didn't have captcha but was pretty much as guilitarded as it is today, and someone developed a script system that dumped posts with randomized files that promised a surprise if they saved the image file, changed it to a batch file and ran it, the "suprise" being that the script would spam 4chan with variations of the script file to entice more defective children to become data disease carriers.
there were a few variants and then the first captcha was put in place, and lots of whining about "when will m00t get rid of the captcha!111"
one of the variants started including generic chan-isms to get past the mods early attempts to stop it by killing textless posts.
