It's hard to say then if you'd like it based off those 3 episodes, but the finale is a total gamechanger and that's reflected in both halves of the Season 2 premiere. It literally shapes the course of that season, so if you liked that you might like seeing its repercussions.
In general the writing all across that season is tighter. The first few episodes after the premiere have some weak spots but eventually it really picks up, mainly because there's way more time to develop everything (22 episodes as opposed to Season 1's 13).
There are a lot of anons who think it only really gets good in 2, so I would recommend giving it a shot since you didn't think all of 1 totally sucked or anything. As objectively I can judge it, I think 1 had potential and was usually decent, but not something I'd recommend to everyone because of its weaknesses. I think 2 made it legitimately a good show.
