>>90700156Satan isn't a canonical christian concept. it's all derived from shit outside the gospels, in particular two pieces of fiction: Dante's Inferno and Paradise Lost, the rest was made adapting other religions and pagan myths in order to antagonize them so it'd be easier to kill them all and claim their lands.
In that context most variations of satanism is merely a satire of religion to provoke religious fanaticism. No one actually thinks there is a literal devil besides edgy teenagers, it's about opposing abrahamic religions because they separate god, man and nature. It's about living in peace as one with nature and the universe without bowing down to authority.
Satan literally means the oppositor, the adversary, the enemy.
It's a cult to rebellion.
The modern church of Satan tries to act in ways that shows that the state isn't separate from church as it should be, by trying to do things like inaugurate devil's statues. The christians can do it and are free from taxation, there's christian statues by the lots in all the west, but when they try to do it people protest and try to stop and take it down, proving there is no religious freedom, it's about what it's convenient to them.
