1. Uninteresting use of interesting powers.
You've got a character who can, with seemingly zero effort, create portals in space throughout the multiverse. That is an S++ power. And she's wasting it, years into her career, smack talking D+ level villains about her "brown fist".
That's not only a complete fucking waste, but it's even less believable than being able to punch holes in the multiverse.
2. On the opposite end of the spectrum, using powers as a stand-in for interesting characters.
America #1 isn't guilty of this YET.
But the idea that good storytelling and good character development can be replaced by THE BIGGEST BADDEST MOST SERIOUS SIGNIFICANT MULTICOSMIC MULTIDIMENSIONAL SUPER MULTIVERSAL THREAT EVARRR!!!! is another fucking pathetically disgusting trend in comics.
Given how much of a hack this writer is, I would not be at all surprised if she goes in this direction.
