>>90349279The Loud House isn't that good. You compare it to the shows of the 2000s as a selling point, but they had their fair share of surrealism, from the classic turn of the century Cartoon Cartoons (Dexter's Lab, PPG, and the works) to the overexaggerated SOL craziness of Ed Edd n Eddy, Courage, and Grim Adventures.
It has charm, sure, but it's mostly just nostalgia pandering to the good ol' days of family sitcoms and Sunday morning comics than an actually worthwhile new entry into the Nicktoons canon (not that it's a particularly good canon to begin with).
It's only big on /co/ for three reasons.
>Aforementioned comfy nostalgiabait for the good ol days of family love>Waifubait>Contrarianism against the "lolsorandom" humor of the modern day, which again isn't opposed to the style of early 2000s animation but instead derives directly from it, exaggerating various aspects of it, not that you faggots really care about any of that beyond culture wars "muh millennials" (a generation which, mind you, 80% of 4chan belongs to, with another 15% almost certainly being underaged Gen Z lurkers). That last reason is why it's also so controversial on /co/ despite being such a conventional and straightforward show.
Wander Over Yonder is a better example of a modern adaption of the early 2000s style of cartoons, and if you want to see other examples of SOL shows done in the more "modern" style you could look at Clarence, We Bare Bears, and to a lesser extent Gumball.
