In 2016 the DC TV shows earned the company a billion dollars in domestic and international syndication deals. The shows are about $3-5 million an episode, depending on original network and the episode.
The total cost of five separate TV shows is around the same as BvS's production cost. And they bring in more money.
WB is still making DC movies for a short term profit, but DC has a better track record on TV. Literally since the dawn of television, DC TV has had a presence in millions of households.

Wonder Woman is still a household figure decades after it left the air.

Smallville gets mocked online, but that thing ran 10 seasons. It wasn't canceled. The lead actor just wanted to stop making it. It would still be airing if he wanted to keep doing it.
Arrow launched three spinoff with a fourth on the way next year.
Who remembers Spider-Man had a live action TV show? Or the made for TV movies with Doctor Strange. The two made for TV movies with Captain America. Outside of the Hulk, Marvel didn't have a single damn TV success until the Netflix shows.
Warners... Let DC go back to TV. Where it belongs. Where it has thrived. Please.
