Dude their webpage has been a disaster for YEARS. A yahoo store? Seriously? Good grief, whole sections of their site have been known to drop off the face of the earth while still being linked to elsewhere. And don't get me started on their iverse sales and app.
And again, it's not like they dropped Sonic from FCBD to push just any old book. They're pushing the Riverdale show that's coming out THIS MONTH.
I'm not saying that it's impossible that Archie has fucked things up this badly, I'm just saying that you're stringing together a few things that honestly aren't that strange and saying that because there's a handful of them at once the book is dead.
Archie making a mess of their webpage and subscriptions isn't unusual.
Archie artists offering commissions and looking for other work is NORMAL.
Archie pushing Riverdale for FCBD instead of Sonic is a departure from the norm, but makes sense considering Sonic's been doing steady sales for years and they REALLY want to push Riverdale.
The sale of Sonic stuff is part of a company-wide sale.
Yes, Anon, it's definitely possible this all just HAPPENED to happen at the same time. Likely, even. Doesn't mean that Archie couldn't have screwed the pooch, just means that it's a bit early to start engraving the gravestone.
