>>89113975After reading about how Bruce Wayne lost his parents as a child and deciding that they're kindred spirits (both of them having lost their childhood early and being supposedly miserable in adulthood), Baby Doll gets herself invited to one of Bruce Wayne's famous parties.
Instantly allowing herself to be carried away with flights of fancy and notions of being the future Mrs. Wayne once Bruce sees how much they have in common, Baby Doll dresses herself up in all her finest clothes and accessories and goes to the party.
What's waiting for her there is more of the same. As she arrives full of confidence and hope for the first time in years, she is met with incredulous stares, muttered comments, cruel sneering and fumbling attempts to treat her like a normal person. Though it all starts to get to her, she decides that it'll be worth it once she gets face-to-face with Bruce Wayne.
After searching the party, she sees him: her soulmate, her kindred spirit. She approaches, only to be cut off by the mob of attractive models, actresses and other perfect women who flock to him like birds. Trampled and pushes aside by the crowd, Baby Doll can scarcely make her voice heard over the crowd.
Eventually, one of the floozies takes notice and exposes the harsh reality of her situation to her: that a handsome billionaire like Bruce Wayne (or anyone normal for that matter) would never waste their time with a desperate, stunted woman in a child's body. Hurt by the sting of her words, Baby Doll suddenly feels all the eyes and words of the room closing in on her.
The last dregs of her sanity slip away with her dreams of one day being Mrs. Wayne. She flees without Bruce ever even knowing she was there.
Stealing and reverse engineering props from her celebrity days, she returns to a following party and wreaks havoc only for Batman to show up to thwart her.
