>>89039230>The fuck are you on about? A generic plot can still be well-written. They're not the same thing at all. Most people don't consider generic, unfunny, boring, lazy pieces of crap "well written" unless there's truly a special something there that actually literally makes it well written. If you think the SpongeBob Movie has that you are absolutely delusional. Yes it has a few moments here and there but they make up less than an 11 minute episode.
>I suppose this is what happens when you let a board full of manchildren who still watch cartoons start to think that they can actually critique anything. And here we have a perfect example of why The SpongeBob Movie is still considered "good": most of these "people" have an emotional connection to the movie. They are willing to accept that such a good memory of theirs was actually based on shit, and them having shit taste. So they all circlejerk about the movie on the internet as a sort of coping mechanism so they can stay in denial (because they're not in denial if everyone else "agrees" on the internet, right?) about the fact that the movie was actually terrible.
Meanwhile those of us who aren't emotionally weak and who are intelligent and capable of viewing things objectively can agree that the SpongeBob movie is extremely overrated and a poor excuse for a good movie, especially one containing the SpongeBob name.
