Would she be able to stand up to Zoss? I could see Meti schooling any of the demiurges, but I almost find it hard to believe she could take on the only person to reach True Royalty. Not impossible, it just seems like he'd be her superior.

Well keep in mind that, while Zoss looks to be quite powerful, he seems like the type who got his power through philosophy and science. So, while Meti does seem to be the philosophical sort herself, she learned her lessons through the pursuit of martial power.

So it seems to me that, yeah, she could kill Zoss. But why the heck would she do that. All she knows is how to cut, and look where that got her.

So remember how Abaddon told us awhile back in a tumblr post the reason some asks went unanswered because they hit close to some plot points?

My main question was how did Zoss know about Metatron at all?

My second question was basically how did the top tier dudes like Zoss and Meti compare to the old gods like Aesma?

I suspect the gods divided themselves because they were so powerful but forced into a circular existence because of it. Meti is struggling with how to use her terrible might without becoming entrapped in that circular existence. Zoss may have done that to himself, and the result is he is disregarding casuality and told himself.>

Zoss was a really smart guy. Maybe Metatron was the only angel not to fight him so he figured out he had answers or something. I really doubt we'll ever find out as it doesn't matter and Abaddon probably didn't even think about it.

He basically pulled a bunch of shit about FORMS out of his ass and hated empiricism as an imperfect distraction from the abstract unseen world of the mind. Basically the epitome of philosophy as useless mental masturbation. In the Republic he also advocated a repressive oligarchy ruled by Philisopher-Kings that would later be the model for the Catholic church.

Oh and he hated Democracy, but pretty much all the classical Greek philosophers of any note today did.

Yes. Each world is an "earth". There are tons of different languages though so they probably call it different things. Same with human can be a good number of things that may be a little alien to us. It solves the problem of wanting to say something like "what on earth" or "lost your humanity". Things that are really important in language and feel stupid when you make up other names for worlds or humans.

Abby had mentioned that some universes are like ours, with countless worlds in a massive space, others are just a single world, some are probably empty, and everything in between. Abby has emphasized that the retellings of Zoss's conquest, and really all past stories are being told from the tellers point of view, and it does not mean those retellings are true. Which could mean when Zoss himself recants the original conquest of Throne, we may learn things that no one else knows, I mean think about it, the only people who know for sure what happened then are Zoss and Metatron, all the other Prime Angels were dead, and Zoss left Metatron crippled, rather than just killing him. There is a lot of story missing.

Just from what I understand, the problem with the philosopher - king is that he's a philosopher first. This means that unless he's an 'ideal' ruler, his ability to rule comes after his own philosophical musings, which means the people under his rule suffer once there are too many of them to directly answer or their questions are outside his field of experience.
Rulers should be counseled by philosophers, sure, but they should be specialized for the task of ruling. Too much or too little counsel and you get people who think they know what they're doing but don't in charge.
To use a chess analogy, the bishop stands beside a king to counsel him, but he isn't the king.
