Not to mention creatures like Lex obsessed with tormenting and destroying Superman because he's a God figure, and then turning out to be a simple lackey of other God figures.
Or Clark's diatribe to Lois about "I can't use my powers, not even to save my own family", when the entire reason she's been able to track him down is that he's been constantly using his powers across the continent for reasons ranging from noble to petty.
I'd just like a DCEU movie that doesn't ask me to accept a bunch of dumb and contradictory plot elements just so the story can lurch on towards the big CGI battle.
