>>88464246Alex Ross (great technique, yet totally unsuited to comic storytelling, really obvious photo-reffing)
Jim Lee (terrible sameface, far too many lines equalling terrible inking, bad anatomy)
>>88465105 this, in general>>88465608Oh you would LOVE Ben Jones' comics!!! There were some great cartoonists who worked on Problem Solverz, though, John Pham, Jon Vermilyea, they were designers/storyboarders though. I can't actually stand Ben Jones' COMIC drawing style but they're funny and I really don't mind the Problem Solverz aesthetic too much. Really didn't like that, what was it called, China, Illinois, or something? The one about the zany school/university? Funny but awful style.
>>88465827That last paragraph, so true. Not just fucking webcomic artists, though! (See my first choice.)
Shitty Simon Bisley copyists
>>88473491Love him. His "horrors of war" etchings are amazing. Did you see what the chapman brothers did with them? That was actually quite interesting
>>88474209I think it looks like a good Biz copyist, but it might be him, I dunno. Painting technique seems a little "denser" than his
>>88475944Those Marie Severin-inked Alf comics were dope in a cheesey-arse way
>>88480613Whaaaat?! Well, personal taste, I guess...
Also can't stand a lot of mainstream manga, Jo-Jo/deathnote type stuff and ESPECIALLY that horrible "Wanga" style, or western art that's really influenced by manga but doesn't look totally manga-esque, if that makes any sense.
There are tons of alternative and underground cartoonists I don't like but most are super-obscure who didn't do many things.
