/pol/ wasn't a board that's been around since the website's inception. In fact, since it was created as a containment board (much like /mlp/), it's just posted blatantly wrong (not as in morally objectionable, but just straight up nonfactual) shit in any thread, and when called out on it, post the one link (which is never from any reputable source or is taken so out of context it'll make your head spin) that agrees with them and pretends didn't just make swiss cheese of their argument, all the while posting the same memes from 2009 along the way.
And triggering them is the easiest thing on the planet, even the lowest depths of tumblr don't fall for half the bait posted on /pol/. They also dragged /k/ into the shitter as well.
