>>875724921) The Wall - Trump voters flocked in right at the start when he hedged all his bets on the wall and immigration. Why do you think McCain lost in 2008? Big part was he was complete amnesty. He co-sponsored a bill with Ted Kennedy. Romney was also open borders. Trump voters are sick and fucking tired of getting bullshit lip service from the Republicans about border security and immigration enforcement while the Republicans consistently push for more open borders and expanded immigration and visas. No one else commented on the H1B1 visa bullshit because all o the Republicans support it. Trump goes against Republicans by (seemingly) being serious about immigration enforcement.
2) Blue Collar/Rust Belt - I know it's weird to say this about a rich New Yorker, but at least in terms of talk, Trump is the only candidate that has talked about the problems that lower middle-class Americans have experienced. The drug epidemics, the loss of jobs, the removal of all prospects, and the fact that Republicans ignore them entirely.
3) Social Bullshit - Outside of the Evangelical set, most voters who lean right only care about the economic issues. Very few care about abortion or gay marriage or the rest of that bullshit. Trump paid lip-service to it, but largely ignored it during the primaries, while it was the driving arguments of most of the other 16 candidates.
4) Riot - This one is nebulous and hard to prove, but I'm counting it. This election is a riot. People are fed up with being ignored and discounted by both parties. Trump is hated by both parties, so therefore he's our guy. He's the molotov cocktail thrown into the system.
