He is pretty dull and the show is clearly pandering to those who prefer an outdated, unsophisticated, and 'vanilla' vision of Superman - which would be fine if this guy had even an ounce of charisma, class, or ability as Christopher Reeve...but he doesn't. Hell, I'd even make the argument that Smallville's and Lois and Clark's mediocre TV Supermen were better.

Then again, Supergirl is just a shit show through and through so I shouldn't be surprised.
