>>86981057>>86985918This just gave me a strange idea.
Given how the general light hearted tone of the reboot so far, I think it's probably a safe bet to say Kevin will be much more light-hearted than his original counterpart right?
Well we know in the original series, the main reason that Kevin was flat out nucking futs was because he lived in the sewers with no family.
Now I know this is sound gonna weird as fuck (though honestly weird things have already happened in this show) but just hear me out.
Imagine some events happening that causes Ben and Gwen to end up in a sewer or underground or something like that. They end up meeting Kevin who has already been adopted by a whole colony of Rat/Opossum/Porcupine Hybrid Aliens.
Kevin and Argit could be like foster siblings/partners in crime who live underground and sneak up to the surface every night to steal shit, make illegal deals, con other aliens, and avoid most contact with humans as possible and when they first meet Ben and Gwen, they put on an act to make the cousins believe that Kevin and Argit are actually trying to be their friends but in reality, they are just conning the shit out of them and trying to steal the Rust Bucket.
Kevin and Argit could also be like foils for both Ben and Gwen, mainly in the sense that while Ben and Gwen may be Partners in Crime who may have fun causing mischief, they would at least try to fix whatever they did wrong. Meanwhile Kevin and Argit are Partners in Crime that are bratty as fuck and don't give a damn about whatever damage they cause and do whatever they want whenever they feel like it.
They can be reoccurring Antagonists and Hell, maybe Kevin could get more and more character development with each passing episode that he shows up in, slowly becoming less of a Douche over time.
That way we can still have Kevin being a Bad Guy he was in the original while not having to make his character go as dark to fit the tone of the reboot.
Can my idea work tho?
