Before joining the x-men, Ice-man had a hetero relationship, during he always found the female form attractive (Kitty Pryde, Mystique, warbird).
Now, they guy who retconned Iceman into being is Bendis, and we have a BS against anything Bendis do, which give more fuel to the hate we feel towards the change.
We know that Bendis run would have been forgotten if it wasnt for HIM making Ice-man gay in the last issues of All new x-men.
It was a bad execution because as everything Bendis does, he only does it because he wants to be remember.
We are also complaining on the way he made Iceman gay, it was not natural, she just said "Bobby you are gay" after Iceman said how hot was Magik.
