Only Lizard claimed to have worked with the man in red before. This could easily be explained away as Miles Warren and Curt Connors having worked together at some point off-screen, it's not too far-fetched.

It's not the fact that Ben and Kaine actually got stories made them not suck. It's that they were both great characters who spawned from an otherwise overly long and completely shit event. Had the Clone Saga been handled from start-to-finish by writers who knew what they were doing and not the marketing department looking to make a quick buck off of the next Age of Apocalypse, it might have been one of the greats and Ben might still be part of Peter's life today.

Yes, because time and time again, we've seen how Sable has zero priorities outside of Spider-Man. She has literally nothing to do but aid him at every conceivable moment. She definitely doesn't run an international mercenary organization like Wild Pack or anything like that.

That wasn't a team up series, it was a team series (as in, one single, consistent team). It was the most recent volume of New Warriors.

It pretty meh. Had some good moments here and there, but mostly just meh.

No. Most of it was Justice trying to convince Kaine to work with him and Speedball, while Kaine told them to fuck off. Until Kaine realizes that there is some use to working with a team and begrudgingly agrees.

Why would he? Slott is a big Kaine fan. The Scarlet Spider book happening, Kaine becoming Scarlet Spider and a "perfect clone" rather than the warped one he was before, and Kaine not dieing in Spider-verse (despite Marvel wanting him killed off) were all 100% Slott's doing.

Slott is basically the only person keeping Kaine from dieing/falling into limbo.

How far are you up Slott's ass? Slott wrote that "death" scene for cheap shock value. Just like every other goddamn death scene in Spider-Verse. He only brought Kaine back because he needed him for this upcoming piece of shit, The Clone Conspiracy. Otherwise it wouldn't have that nostalgic 90s feel without Kaine.

If you honestly think Slott cares about Kaine as a character, you're utterly delusional. Just look at how the guy writes Kaine. He doesn't even acknowledge that Kaine has a different personality than Peter. He just writes him as Peter 2.0, but sorta-kinda angry.
