>>86685418>>>86685274>Yes. I didn't think it was great myself at first, but it grew on me. I'd recommend it.I've been a fan since the premier, in the threads pretty much every day, and you would be AMAZED how many times that's been posted.
Star looks like a little dumb bubblegum nothing show. It really, really isn't.
The more you look, the more you realize how much is going on. There are huge amounts of lore lying in the background, expressed in little scenes, in the tiny little details.
Can you enjoy it as a fun little mindless show? Absolutely, and lots of people do.
Those are the people who mumble about how 'hit and miss' it is, usually.
If you pay attention, you start to realize that every episode, even the widely maligned 'Banagic Incident', is all part of a seamless whole.
Why did Star slap the pudding out of Marco's hands? Because she's crushing on him like crazy, and he casually insulted the fuck out of without even realizing it.
That's the first BIG hint that she's got feelings for the Diaz, and seen in that light, it makes a LOT more sense.
But it took them nearly twenty episodes to drop the next big hint. This show is subtle, man alive.
