>>86244309>incoherentHow was it incoherent? It's babby's first non traditional narrative, it's Pulp Fiction/Citizen Kane tier easy to follow. It's incoherently published but that's hardly Morrison's fault. if you buy all the comics in collected editions or use any of the helpful internet guides to organize the downloaded versions (fuck, there's a torrent that even does that for you) it's very easy to understand.
>cliche plot twistsI really do not think it has many cliche plot twists, the biggest one would be Batman coming back but considering that it's a treatsie on how Batman is the most versatile superhero not just from a story perspective but from his usability as a character, you'd have to put him through all the same paces as Superman to really prove that.
It had some really non cliche plot twists too
Damian dying (had it not been spoiled by CBR which then forced DC to change the tone of that issue's publishing) and Jason being Wingman were great strayings from traditional big two comic plots
>poorly writtenI don't really know how to defend this, it's so much of just MUH OPINION. I will say that rather than just make Bruce a brooding fuck, he used Damian to develop a more open, rounded and fatherly version of the character, which can be reflected in his decision to stop being a MUH GOTHAM faggot and create Batman Inc. I also think that Damian and Dick's Batman and Robin interactions are awesome, and that it's one of the most true portrayals of Batman and Robin as legitimate partners.
I also think that Morrison finally broke away from his admittedly tired themes of SUPERHEROES WILL SAVE THE REAL WORLD TOO MAAAAN and wrote a really tight explanation of what I mentioned before, how Batman is the most versatile superhero inside the story and out, putting him through almost every possible sub genre of cape comics and writing good stories with the character to prove this (I can give you a list if you want but I wanna finish my rebuttal here) 1/2
