>>86252685Elizabeth Devoré, daughter and heir of the Devoré family in Gravity Falls, is first known as Lizzie in the Mystery Shack. At fourteen she's a little young to be running the cashier, but Grunkle Stan wasn't willing to turn down someone actually applying, since Soos wasn't good with math, and Stan hated the concept of handing 'change' to people.
She's well acquainted with the mysteries of the town, though keeps mums about it publicly, confiding in Dipper as a potential confidant. She's got some local friends, including Robbie, but even they are mostly separate from her family life of French Lumberjacks made millionaires several generations ago. Her father is akin to Paul Bunyan in a business suit, and his sons are equally rich and strong. Liz is still the eldest and as such a bearer of many secrets she doesn't even share with Dipper. She is friendly, but well aware of her status, and protects it over her friends at times, such as with the President. Mabel and her get along well, but there is a clear divide in social circles and she sees the girl as naive.
Her relationship with the monsters and mysteries is similar to the Order of the Blind Eye in a desire to shelter the townsfolk from them, but in a more nurturing approach. To her, Gravity Falls is home and kingdom, and she will protect it as honored royalty would, as protector. Dipper can do what he will, so long as it does not stop her family. Eventually though she reaches a crisis of character when she learns of her ancestor Devoré's treachery in Quebec. Instead of making peace she slays the ghost, but still agrees to its demands and opens the Devoré Castle to the city folk. She runs away from home and her job, and only returns during Weirdmageddon, as a hunter in the wasteland, who even has reservations about fixing anything and returning to noblesse oblige before returning a prodigal queen, rallying the town and monsters that respect her status as a Devoré.
