>>85853340Maybe reptiles are the early shitty 3d model of life that fill their job perfectly, with many of them never upgrading because it would be utterly pointless to upgrade them to a more modern version since they fit their niche perfectly while mammals are more detailed models with upgraded skeletons and fluidity that still has a lot of bugs and flaws to hammer out, like bones getting used up faster due to aforementioned newfound fluidity (can reptiles even get arthritis and shit like that?), lower life expectancy due to more stressful and active life among others things, etc.
Insect are i dunno, the very early experiment on AI the likes of which wed found in an Atari game or something, being little more than a ball of nerves reacting reflexively against specific stimuli, without any real logic behind them (i.e: wasps of some species will let themselves be cut apart by ants because they simply don't realize the ants are hostile due to similar hormones (Wasps came from ants if I remember well))
