My issue is that no one seems to be allowed to criticize it.

The show itself tells you to shut up about the quality in at least 4 different dedicated episodes and tangentially through the newer seasons.
"It's for kids" is not a defense when a show goes out of its way to constantly reference 80's sitcoms.
"It's supposed to be different" is not a defense when the show fills the space of a moment by either having the characters stand there and do nothing or start screaming when the punchline was clearly unwritten.
"It's satirical" is not a defense against having, again, multiple episodes decrying its detractors. Absolutely take the piss out of obstinate critics, just don't do it so much you could fill an hour and a half with just moments dedicated to fourth wall mockery.
"Kids love it" is not an excuse to air the show every odd hour when you have access to a now massive catalogue of originals and classics that could easily air at any time.
It's fucking Spongebob all over again, a corpse of a concept made to stride the airwaves as a ratings colossus, made more unassailable by the day until someday in two, maybe three years time the armor drops off and no one sane could possible defend it then.
But what the fuck do I know, Fairly Oddparents has been on the air for longer than most of the kids currently watching it have been alive.
