To directly answer your claim, if you desire so and have been unable to infer from my previous reply: no, there's no such thing as " the science of proper cooking" like you imply it to be; there may be a thing with that name, but it only goes as far at what has more chances of making people sick, we call that an application of medicine; which, technically speaking, is not a science, but an application of it.
