>>85596929No, of course they shouldn't make the same game over and over, but ignoring their original design tenements when they want to experiment only to require a bailout through crossover hype isn't a good way to branch out. Now Indivisible is "a decently-animated Metroidvania that we had to sell out to the nth degree to whoever would buy early just to see it published" instead of "a decently-animated Metroidvania based on all the spank material I drew in high school that I hope you like (and I know you do)".
>Indivisible isn't even the same genre as SkullgirlsAnd? A Skullgirlsvania would have been fine, too. Different body-hijacking parasite upgrades morphing a nubile girl into some freak would have been great.
>>85596959But it's such a vanilla way to think with one's dick, especially after "guro dismemberment brown cat girl" and "scarred face Frankenstein's monster with a propeller attached to her protruding spine". After all the masterful blending of fetishes in Skullgirls, it feels like a step back, and it feels like concession regardless of intent.
They handled the "censored" animation poorly, since you mentioned it. It would have been fine if they were immediate with why they (reasonably) modified the animation, but they decided to be glib and "no, nothing else changed in this update [emoticon]" at the wrong time and place. If they were as direct with the modified animation reason as they are with what gets them off, there wouldn't have been an issue, same with the "varied body type" clinical language.
They don't have to yell "THICCCC", but at this point nobody's judging them for fetish baiting.
