>>84870623wanting to be a part of the american dream is great, but the industry of illegal immigration is harmful in so many ways to so many parties, not the least of which being the migrants
undoubtedly there are people for which cannot go through the US's generous immigration policy for whatever reason, but there exists those who indebt themselves to the cartels, the most powerful criminal organization in the world, to smuggle them into the country, no safety guidlines for them, being subject to whatever the cartel demands because they cant go to legal channels or else they get deported but still owe the cartel.
once stateside, they work, technically pay sales tax i guess, but no income tax, have no legal address, cannot draw social security, welfare or any other social program, can never vote, can never have a drivers licence, all things that legal entry sets up for a future citizen. Otherwise they are just unaccountable
and thats those who want to permanently stay in the country, those who dont smuggle the money back to their homesoil, avoiding all the tax levied in those situations
furthermore, not only can millions of people be smuggled across the 2000 mile line in the desert, any illicit substance can be as well: drugs, drug money, dangerous baby-killing assault weapons, etc
