People always complain about the A1 trolls being flat and 2D characters, but I've always seen that as being part of the point of the dreambubbles. Living consciousnesses aren't supposed to live for untold eons, and memories become unreliable as they are rewritten with every remembrance. Over time, you forget much of who you are, losing your more subtle memories and features and cling to the more obvious traits, like how Jake went off about personalities being defined by a few characteristics during the crypt beds feelings jam. Eventually, you end up simplified if not flanderized into a parody of yourself. This mental decay probably plays a part in how the ghosts were easy to manipulate, and how Vriska was able to control ghosts that she couldn't before, like Eridan.
I thought of this a few years ago, but I can't remember if I ever posted it. Whatever, probably more thought than Hussie ended up putting into it.
>>84727597Pretty much. Everyone's pretty much done complaining about it or trying to justify it as not actually shit.
>>84727762Why couldn't Hussie let the metafictional bullshit stay dead with Wizardy Herbert? Why did he have to get bored with Sburb and let it fall by the wayside in favor of what ended up happening. If he had just handled it better like he did at first instead of the clusterfuck it became, I would've been fine with it.
That fucking kickstarter is what set everything irreversibly down hill. Why couldn't he wait until after the comic was actually over?
