I watched it off a livestreaming site so I took it as the stream quality. Somebody was saying that there were slight animation errors on the PPG characters as a subtle reference to the new show's lack of quality assurance. Also the monkeys were based on Monkey from Dexter's Lab or some shit

Why the fuck is Cartoon Network just so.. annoying so often nowadays?

I'm not talking what type of content is on the channel but everyday I swear the same episodes play because I know that each day I have to listen to fucking Beast Boy sing that obnoxious Pyramid Scheme song and that bird sing that fucking 80's song that Cyborg loves. Not to mention the "YABBA DABBA DABBA DO" commercial that plays each break.

To appeal to ADD kids I guess.

You can see the difference when Adult Swim ends and CN starts. You can automatically tell the announcer tries to be as loud and attention-grabbing as possible. The commercials get louder too.

This may be me becoming a jaded adult but do kids genuinely like it when characters keep sandbagging themselves as "just the worst"? Like I get TTG does it because "hurr hurr duh manchildren think we're awful xD" but they do this shit all the time, including this crossover. Do kids like it when the superheroes in their shows just shit on themselves needlessly so many times? Would they even get the joke behind it?

Also fuck me, songs in cartoons are terrible. More so now than ever before.

Holy shit, that makes her bitch voice even worse. I love it.

Also despite being limited in animation, that clip still has all the principles in animation like weight, angling, setup etc that nuPPG lacks. These literal children fighting are much more visually interesting to watch than the random but shiny Green Lantern construct ripoffs.

TTG has objectively better fight scenes than nu-PPG, is better at nailing humor when it's not fart jokes and screaming, and has significantly better animation. Both are shit, but one clearly smells worse.
