>>83968276While that scene is pretty "edgy" it's actually really well done in the context of the book. All of Mr. Hyde's actions are legitimately morally ambiguous and he's a little discomforting to root for despite being a protagonist and more often than not doing the "right" thing.
Alan Moore is regarded as a legend in part because he uses mature themes in his books maturely (most of them anyway, Neonomicon is anything but). Yes there is a shit load of rape in his writing, but it almost always serves a purpose within the story. If the Comedian hadn't tried to rape Silk Specter I their later relationship wouldn't be near as messed up (after all what heroes aren't still good friends after thrashing the shit out of each other).
Plus he has a very distinct vision for how his books should look and works with the artists to use the medium in uncommon and impressive ways
