Let's say we flip the gender of Homer Simpson.
Woman will suddenly find him offensive, men however tend to accept and find him endearing. Only a few whine about a character like him being sexist and they do it out of some kind of point.
That's kind of the problem with writing female characters. Woman tend to like their characters blank and flat so they can just outright project onto them. It's why flawed female characters are always so rejected as sexist but perfect snowflakes are loved.
This is the reason woman consider every last character flaw is called sexist when attached to a female. Because they're too sensitive about this shit but they're also blind to when a male has that same or a similar flaw.
