Well, used to be, a major reason Finn chose the hero occupation was he wanted to repay his parents (Jake's parents) for adopting him and saving his life. So bringing back not only his shitty human dad but his shitty human mom dilutes that nice underpinning the show once had. The point was supposed to be he felt sad about being the last human, but he was, IN FACT, the last human.

What happened to Finn after he came into the care of his dog family actually has impact on how he developed and shit, but his human parents have always been irrelevant even after they made Martin a thing.

People say every tiny thing in the show makes Finn more 'mature' but I barely see those things actually affecting him all that much

If his mom does come into the show it'll probbly just be to give real backstory for wherever Finn came from (literally who gives a shit about that, where's my fucking dog family episode (actually don't bother you'll butcher everything)) and she'll be nice and say she's proud of Finn or something.
Then she'll die or blast away on a rocket ship or something. So like who cares that much.

I really wish they were doing more interesting things with Finn right now then focusing on his who gives a shit backstory.

Maybe not if it's the very last season. But I'm hoping it's a vision or dream, for minimal impact. So sick of humans from the past popping up everywhere. weird how this story is totally neglected. do we even know what happened to their doggy mom, forcing her kids to move house and eventually meet Bubblegum?

I don't even trust the writers to get the characters at the right ages in a flashback, but I'm curious.
