I'm not really okay with Pidge possibly being a girl. It sort of undermines Allura's original character arc. Also Voltron Force had just set up three diversity characters. You probably could have ported them over to some degree and increased Romelle's roll if you wanted more of that stuff.
I mean I guess they could pull it off. Honestly outside of Lance I could give two shits about the pilots. Voltron's has always been carried by it's great robot design.
